Dr. Amber Donaldson serves as the Vice President of Sports Medicine for the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee where she has been for fifteen years. In her role, she provides clinical care to elite Olympic & Paralympic athletes. Dr. Donaldson’s other key responsibilities include medical planning for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, oversight of the Psychological Services program and Chair of the Women’s Health Task Force. She has also served as the medical director for several Olympics and Paralympics, including the most recent Paris Games. Dr. Donaldson received her Bachelor’s in Sports Medicine from Pepperdine University, her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, and her Master’s in Manipulative Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne in Australia. She is a certified Sports Specialist and Strength & Conditioning Specialist and completed the IOC diploma in Sport Physical Therapy in 2019. She is also married to an Aussie and the mother of eleven-year-old twin girls and an eight-year-old boy.
