Dr. Patricia Doyle-Baker is a full professor in the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary and a certified exercise physiologist (CSEP-CEP). She is a member of the O’Brien Institute for Public Health in the Cumming School of Medicine and the Alberta Children’s Hospital Research and the Institute for Child and Maternal Health. Although Tish’s research is focused on biomarkers of injury and health, her lab group investigates across the lifespan of a female athlete from their first menstrual cycle to their last and everything in between. She completed her Doctor of Public Health at Loma Linda University in California and her PhD research at the University of Calgary in Alberta. Prior to this she completed a masters of sport science and a B.Sc. in Human Performance at University of Victoria in BC. She travelled with many national teams in her early career (Men’s Rugby and Soccer, Women’s Ice Hockey and Lacrosse) and has been on the Mission staff for Team Alberta – Canada Games for the past 15 years. Currently, she coaches in the Alpine ski racing space and is a former cyclist who loves ocean kayaking.
