Ana Moraleda holds a degree in Biology, a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, a Master’s degree in Science Education, and a Master’s degree in Forensic Criminalistics. She obtained her PhD in Biochemistry, awarded summa cum laude, from the University of Geneva, and is currently pursuing a second doctorate in Chemical Criminalistics. Her scientific background includes work with the European Space Agency and NASA on protein experiments sent to the International Space Station. She has extensive laboratory experience in proteomics, DNA engineering, and gas chromatography analysis. Over the last four years, she has specialised in anti-doping science with a forensic focus, including the investigation of complex cases, contamination scenarios, and the interpretation of the steroidal module of the Athlete Biological Passport. Her work combines molecular biology, forensic analytical chemistry, and anti-doping expertise to support evidence-based evaluation of challenging cases in sport.
