Steve has been working as a pharmacist in elite sport for over 20 years, and for the past 13 years in providing medicines management consultancy and medication tracking software to teams in the Premier League as well as national governing bodies for football, rugby, athletics, tennis, cricket, rowing, and cycling amongst other sports. He was a member of the Pharmacy Planning Group for planning and implementation of pharmacy services at the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics, and worked in the polyclinic pharmacy at the London 2017 World Athletics Championships, and then again at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. In 2015 he was the pharmacy advisor for the Rugby World Cup, and since 2018 has been a member of the British Cycling Clinical Governance Committee. Between 2016 and 2024 Steve was a pharmacist member of the General Pharmaceutical Council’s Fitness to Practise Committee, and his 8-year tenure came to an end in September 2024. He enjoys playing 5-a-side football every week, as well as running and walking and he is fortunate to live in an area of Hertfordshire that has beautiful countryside on his doorstep.
