IOC DIploma Graduation
Graduation of the first group of students to successfully complete the program took place at a ceremony held at the IOC offices in Lausanne on December 7.Of the 39 students originally admitted to the program, 35 remained registered for Part 2 of the program. 33 of these students completed all assignments and achieved a pass mark in the written examination held in October. Five students achieved a pass mark of 75% or more, and these students were awarded a pass with Distinction. Twenty students graduated in person, many accompanied by friends and relatives. Graduands were welcomed to the IOC by Dr Patrick Schamasch, IOC Medical Director, and the presentation of Diplomas was made by Professor Arne Ljungqvist, Chair of the IOC Medical Commission. Prof Ljungqvist congratulated the students on their achievement and challenged them to go forward with continued enthusiasm to work in the world of sport. After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed a tour of the IOC museum and an evening of celebrations followed.
