My own sporting background
I grew up dancing competitively for 14 years and studying at an arts high school before transitioning to triathlon in my final year at University. I have since completed sprint-distance triathlons, half marathons, and multi-day cycling tours. I plan to complete a half-ironman in the 2017 season as a way to better appreciate the act of fuelling endurance sport.
My favourite sporting moment or heroes
Watching the first team of Olympic athletes (women’s team pursuit cycling) I worked with win bronze in Rio.
Other things of interest about me
I am completing a digital photography course at the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) to improve my food photography skills in order to be prepared if the opportunity presents itself to work on a cookbook sometime in the future.
Highlights of my year
Becoming a Dietitian. Traveling to Iceland following graduation and travelling in Eastern Europe later in the year. Completing my first multi-day cycling tour and third triathlon. Working closely with Olympic athletes to support their efforts and witness
